Episode 1: Three Cups chicken with Chris Kondracki

THE RECIPE

1. Use black sesame oil to pan fry chicken legs briefly for about 2 and a half minutes each side on medium heat.
2. Add cooking wine and soy sauce and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
3. When done, garnish with Thai basil.  While on low heat, let thai basil mix with chicken and sauce for another 2-5 minutes.

Optional: Add Star Anise. 

Proportion:
black sesame oil:cooking wine: soy sauce
0.5:1:1 cups.
